What is a WordPress Care Plan?

The WordPress eco system is constantly changing. With over 8,500 plugins and 60,000 themes, there are often new releases to fix bugs or release new functionality. Whilst the core / plugin / theme authors do their own testing, they cannot test against every plugin combination.

This is where our WordPress Care Plans come in. A WordPress Care Plan helps manage and maintain your WordPress website. This includes regular updates, backups, security checks, and technical support. The goal of our WordPress Care Plan is to provide peace of mind for you and ensure that your site stays up-to-date and secure.

Why is WordPress website maintenance important?

Understanding the significance of WordPress website maintenance is crucial in safeguarding your online presence.

A staggering 58% of WordPress installations are found to be operating on outdated versions. This statistic is particularly alarming because hackers frequently exploit vulnerabilities in outdated WordPress versions as their primary attack vector.
In a single attack, WordFence, a WordPress security plugin, identified nearly 1 million websites under siege.

WordPress websites are continuously under attack from automated hacking attacks. It has become imperative to prioritise regular updates to your WordPress website. By keeping your WordPress installation up to date, you significantly reduce the risk of falling victim to hacking attempts and ensure the security and integrity of your businesses website.

What is included in your WordPress Care Plan?

Backups – We setup automatic daily offsite backups. These are stored on cloud storage, separate from your webhost. You may already have webhost backups but it is important to have a second backup stored elsewhere.

WordPress Core Updates – Any updates to WordPress Core are reviewed regularly and installed in a timely manner. Security fixes are prioritised and installed immediately.

Plugin and Theme Updates – Similar to WordPress Core, plugins and themes are monitored for any updates. We will notify you of any changes to functionality that will modify your business processes.

Security – Proactive monitoring of any security issues.

Support – Up to 30 minutes support each month to resolve any issues.

What is not included in your WordPress Care Plan?

This is not a 24/7 support plan. All activities for the Care Plan will be performed during office hours.

What is the cost of a WordPress Care Plan?

Our WordPress Care Plan is priced at £75 per month with a minimum commitment of 6 months.

Before starting the Care Plan, an £150 audit fee is applicable to assess your website and establish any necessary backups/security measures.

All updates undergo rigorous testing in a staging environment before implementation on your live website. Should you not have a staging website, an additional fee will be incurred for its setup.

Adhoc WordPress Support

In addition to our WordPress Care Plan, we provide ad hoc WordPress support tailored to your needs.

Our support covers a wide range of issues that may arise with your WordPress website. Some examples of how we’ve assisted our clients include:

Security Enhancements: We specialize in restoring compromised WordPress websites by conducting clean-ups and implementing security measures such as installing security plugins to fortify your site against future threats.

Plugin Compatibility and Upgrades: If your website encounters issues following plugin updates, our experts are adept at diagnosing and rectifying the issues to ensure seamless operation.

For any developmental requirements, we offer flexible rates to accommodate your project scope and timeline:

Hourly Rate: £50 per hour
Half-Day Rate: £175 for up to 4 hours
Full-Day Rate: £300 for up to 8-hours
