You’ve got a technical team who know WordPress inside out. What you might not have is someone whose full-time job is asking “does this actually work for the people using it?” before it goes live. We’re the outside design and UX eye – not another pair of hands on your build.
Who this is for / not for
We’re not here to review your code, question your hosting, or tell your developers how to do their jobs. We’re here for the bit that often gets squeezed out when a build is moving fast: the design and user experience judgement that turns a working website into one that actually converts.
This is for
Companies with an in-house or outsourced build team who know their way around WordPress, but don't have anyone dedicated to design and UX judgement.
This isn't for
Anyone needing code written, plugins fixed, or hosting managed. We presume your technical implementation is in good hands - this is entirely about how the site looks, feels, and performs for the people using it.
Our Consultancy Services
WordPress Design & UX Review
A one-off, no-nonsense look at how your site actually performs for real users. We go through your site the way a critical customer would, not a developer:
- User journeys and conversion paths: where people should be going, and where they’re actually dropping off
- Visual hierarchy and brand consistency: does the site look and feel like you, or like a template?
- Content structure: is the important stuff easy to find, or buried?
- Mobile experience: genuinely tested, not just “responsive”
- Usable accessibility: designed for real people, not just a compliance checkbox
You get a clear, prioritised report your team can design and build against. No code, no plugin lists — just what needs to change and why.
From £1,000, scoped to your site’s size on a discovery call
Design Advisory Retainer
For teams who want ongoing input rather than a one-off review. We become the design and UX sounding board your build team doesn’t have time to specialise in – reviewing new pages before they’re built, challenging default choices, and keeping your brand consistent as the site grows.
From £750/month
Day-Rate Design Consulting
Sometimes you just need a second opinion in the room – a pre-launch review, a rebrand rollout, or settling a stakeholder debate about whether a page actually looks right. We turn up, give you a straight answer, and move on.
£850–£1,100/day
Our Process
1
Discovery call
We learn about your site, your team, and what’s not working.
2
Review / audit
We go through the site against real user journeys, not a technical checklist.
3
Report + walkthrough
A prioritised, plain-English report, talked through with your team – not just emailed over.
4
Optional retainer
If it’s useful, we stay on as your ongoing design sounding board.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you write code, or fix plugins and hosting?
No. We review and advise on design and UX only. We presume your technical implementation is already in good hands – that’s your team’s job, not ours.
Will you be critical of our developers' work?
We’re critical of the design, not the people. Our reports focus on what’s not working for users and why, so your team has something constructive to act on.
How long does a Design & UX Review take?
Typically 1–2 weeks from discovery call to delivered report, depending on site size and complexity.
Can we start with the retainer instead of a review?
Yes, though most clients find a Design & UX Review first gives the retainer a clear starting point – a shared list of what to fix and improve.
Do you only work with WordPress sites?
Yes. WordPress is our specialism, and it’s where we can genuinely add value quickly. If your site isn’t on WordPress, this isn’t the right fit.
What if we need something built after the review?
We can quote separately for implementation if you’d like us involved, but there’s no obligation – the report is designed to be actioned by your own team.
Ready to talk about your website?
Whether you want a one-off review or an ongoing design partner, we’d love to hear about what you’re working on.
